There It took a woman, Marjane Satrapi, first with his comics (see it.wikipedia.org / wiki / Persepolis_ (comics) ) and then with the animated film, and nearly 30 years to explain what the West is really happened during the Iranian revolution began in 1978 and ended Nov. 4 1979 with the advent to power of Ayatollah Khomeini. A story that was already familiar with those attending, like myself, Iranian students at the university, in the '80s, but for most it was the struggle of an entire people blinded by religion to the rise of power against an obscurantist Shah pro-American, after more enlightened.
