Writing "in an Italian with precise and imperfect, but very expressive" (see the chart at http://www.einaudi.it/libro/scheda/%% 28isbn 29/978880617840 / ), "Salam, maman" is one of my books in the drawer this summer.
So, I have not read. But I am curious about the comparison with another point of view, this time male, on Iran's "Persepolis" and the experience of an author who writes bravely in their native language but not in that of the earth who has accepted, what quite rare in Italy and more frequent in France.
A large beautiful tribute to an Italy not always friendly, especially in these times.
Frankly, quite dark.
